ABOUT
Well where should I start???? Ive just turned 30 and have spent the last 3 years living abroad.... first in Amsterdam and most recently in Ras Al Khaimah (a small emirate in the middle of nowhere). Im now living in Northampton as I have just started my new job this year.... academic year... hmmm thats let the cat out of the bag... ok Im a secondary school teacher hence I think of years as Sept to Sept aswell as Jan to Jan just to confuse everyone...lol
Im orignally from the North East of England and my family and friends are based there in and around Durham, Sunderland and Newcastle mainly. Part of my return home is prompted my a wish to be able to pop back and see them all on a more regular basis than Ive been able to do over the last few years. Although, it has to be said that my friends are based all over the world... from Germany to Australia, Indonesia to India. So plenty of excuses for holidays abroad :-)
Im trying this site out to see who I can meet as I feel its time to settle down and have some stability at long last.
What are my ambitions/goals and aspirations:
Professionally well I love teaching and I aspire to be the best teacher I can possibly be. I know that sounds cheesy but if youre going to do something thats worth doing its worth doing properly. Love working with the kids and know how important what happens in the classroom is to their future. I love the fact that I have a job I love, but at the same time I do believe in trying to keep a balance between living to work and working to live - Im lean more towards working to live, but at times it is necessary as a teacher to prioritise work. Examination and report writing times can be particuarly demanding!
Personally On a personal level, Im looking for the fairytale, well arent we all? I refuse to give up looking for my true love, someone who will love me for who I am and who will protect me and share my life with me, all the good and the bad. Life is an adventure and sharing adventure
