Someone said to me recently, that when we look for a mate we are looking for ourselves. Ive thought about that a lot, and I think its probably true. We all want someone to enjoy the things we like, or else whats the point? There are times when I like to be on my own. Someone like me would understand that.
What do I love? Comfort and bliss - clean sheets, cool water on hot feet, cuddly jumpers, a real fire warming my cheeks, not having to get up on Saturday. Simple things, but all around is there are things that could make us happy, if only we took the time to see them. What do I dislike? Arrogance, bad manners, yokel accents, indifference, intolerance.
Im a romantic, in spirit, in my heart and in life. I realised several years ago that pleasure, and the time to enjoy it, are the most important things in life. Hence I downsized and work part time, enjoying the time that gives me. Im not money orientated, but I would hate to be poor. A contradiction I suppose, but honest. I respect anyone who works hard to achieve success, whatever that means to them. I have done that, and am definately nor prepared to get involverd with someone who is not solvent. Im sorry if that offends, but its best to be truthful.
